About Me

From the day I could walk and talk I was teaching fitness classes, quite literally! My Mother would teach bootcamps from home and bossy little 3 year old me would command “go lower!” while people are doing push-ups and yell “go faster” on their sprints haha! I was her biggest fan and would copy everything she did, growing my love for yoga, pilates and being healthy in the best ways possible! I was always helping Mum and was involved in every sporting activity you could think of, including little nippers in Innisfail FNQ (yikes). I then studied my Certificate III and IV in Fitness as well as Exercise Science as an elective during school in 2015 and was fully Qualified as a Personal Trainer in 2018. I then joined the Australian Navy and while I was training as an Aircraft Technician I was also teaching Fitness to all ranks in the Military! When I left the service I was Managing Gyms and Fitness Studios and running my own Company as a Personal Trainer which is where ‘hm fitness australia’ came alive in 2021. 

 

I have taught every modality across the county including HIIT, Pilates, Yoga and Stretch, Strength Training, Body Building, Boxing, Zumba, CrossFit and even EMS Technology (electro muscular stimulation) when I was given the opportunity to run a SpeedFit Studio that I opened up by myself in Fremantle, Western Australia. It was a highlight of my career as a Fitness Trainer that’s for sure!

 

My love and passion for HIIT and Pilates has always remained a constant for me. The Fitness Industry runs off FADS, quick fixes and new exciting shiny workouts, however the only training methods that have never failed me or my clients are High Intensity Interval Training and of course Pilates! The three main reasons when I incorporate these two together is that ALL muscle groups are targeted, not just the major muscle groups but our minor supporting muscle groups too which is the main source of injury prevention; anaerobic and aerobic systems in the body also get to work together to improve cardiovascular health/ weight loss and management / metabolism and last but not least the movements, exercises and class environment is always fun, inspiring and uniting. 

 

I can’t wait to share this space with you all, teach what I love and be in a room full of amazing people!

Lets talk Pilates

Pilates (/pɪˈlɑːtiːz/; German: [piˈlaːtəs]) is a type of mind-body exercise developed in the early 20th century by German physical trainer, Joseph Pilates, after whom it was named. Pilates called his method "Contrology".

Joseph Pilates formulated his routine with 6 key principles which include breath, concentration, centre, control, precision, and flow. 

HIIT Pilates combines strength and flexibility based exercises from the foundations of Pilates with High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). Pilates workouts are formed around bodyweight exercises that improve muscular imbalances, builds strength in major and minor muscle groups, increases flexibility, and improves stability.

 

Combining Pilates with 'High Intensity Interval Training' (HIIT) is a safe and time efficient exercise strategy to achieve and maintain weight loss goals.

I teach both Classical Pilates and HIIT Pilates at hm fitness australia. Whether you are an athlete requiring joint stability and strength in stabilising muscles to prevent injury and increase muscular endurance or if you are just looking for an exercise that is gentle on the body yet incredibly beneficial I have the space for you!

My method starts from within the mind, body and soul. Once we can balance out life and nourish our body and mind are we able to see real results! What is shown on the outside is a true reflection of how we treat ourselves on the inside! My workout routine is also scheduled around you and your lifestyle so it is easy to manage and stay on-track of your goals.

 

I take a holistic approach when I program personalised training, recovery and nutrition programs. I do this through an initial consultation and monthly check ins which include a full body analysis, detailed goal setting program and a fitness assessment and then utilise your menstrual cycle, work/life routine and environment to program your routine so that you are always feeling empowered and add in extra tips so that you can maintain a truly balanced lifestyle whist getting the results you desire!
